Day 36 – Zanzibar

Using a puffer fish spine to pull urchin spines from my foot

I was suffering from mild brain confusion today, possibly a result of the cheap local whiskey from the previous night but either way I was unsure of my course of action as there was plenty to see and if I left my laziness to fester as I would have liked I would probably end up doing very little.

History of a Cyclist

I’ll talk in the third person for this…
James has been travelling intermittently since he left school. His first around the world trip was with his first proper girlfriend and they did one of the 10 stop  around the world tickets. After that he went to South America for a few years travelling extensively through Chile, Columbia and Peru. He has been to nearly every country on Earth. His last solo unaided cycle trip took him 24,000 miles around the world in over 400 days. Somehow he managed to miss Africa. This time he will travel from Cairo to Cape Town travelling down the east side of Africa.
